Chicken with curd / yoghurt is a very tasty item of food. It is delicious enough to eat with pilau. At the same time it is no less palatable to take with plain rice or bread. Its procedure of preparation along with the required ingredients is given hereunder.

  1. At least half an hour the chicken requires to make marinated. Marination is to do by adding plain yoghurt, ground black pepper, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt asper taste and lime juice to the chicken and intermix properly. Keep the marination for half an hour tightening the cover/lid of the pot.
  2. After half an hour heating oil in a pan give therein bay leaf, clove, cardamom & cinnamon and stir for sometime. Adding chopped onion to it fry till the onion turns into golden-brown color. When it becomes golden-brown color add marinated pieces of chicken and stir suitably to mix spices with the chicken. Cook duly tightened the lid of the pan.
  3. Time to time stir opening the lid so that all portion of the chicken be cooked evenly. Since there will be adequate water from the chicken usually no further water requires to add. In spite of that a small quantity of water can be added in case of genuine need.
  4. Check from time to time as to whether the chicken has been boiled. In this way cooking is to continue for a period of almost 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. Chicken can be cooked either keeping some soup in it or drying up asper liking. Both the ways of cooking begets good taste to eat. Now this home made tasteful Curd Chicken can be served with plain rice or pilau or bread asper choice.
