Chicken Flower Dumpling / Jhal Kodom Flower Dumpling
Jhal kodom flower or checken flower dumpling is very tasty and easy to make. Looks like bangladeshi flower kodom or kadam flower, therefore this dumpling is known as spicy kadam or jhal kodom.   1. A pot of such a size requires that can be placed in a bigger pot easily leaving some space around the inner pot to rise vapour upward. Sieved Steam pot can be used for the purpose since vapour can rise outward through its pores. Take water in a pot and let it boil.
  2. At first taking the Ground Chicken in a mixing bowl add one by one Yellow Food color, Soy sauce, Tomato Ketchup, Lime juice, Garam Masala powder, Ginger and Garlic paste and Salt asper taste. Soy sauce itself contains a good quantity of salt so prudence to be applied while adding fresh salt to the mixture. Intermix all these items properly by hand. Taking a small quantity of Chicken mixture make a round shaped ball and coat with rice. It is to note that any kind of rice can be used to make Jhal Kodom but the rice which yield long on boiling is much preferable to the purpose. Here Basmoti rice is used for its same feature.
  3. Place Jhal Kodom so prepared on the lid or steam pot side by side at a reasonable gap among them. Now place the lid in hot water. Covering it with another lid cook for 20 to 25 minutes at a flame slightly less than the medium level. Then remove from wok and take in a serving plate. Looking appears like Kodom flower for which it has got such nomenclature.
  4. It is totally a oil free food item therefore very much enjoyable to them those who do not like oily food. Moreover it is highly tasty and palatable to eat.
