Mango Bar say, taste of mangoes in dry condition. All people from infant to old likes Mango Bar available in the market. But own prepared one is far better than those of the market. See how this tasty Bar can be prepared at home in easy process and what ingredients are needed for doing it.

  • Half kg Ripe Mango [Taking half kg ripe Mango duly peeled off the skin and removed the inner stones, then cut into small pieces]
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • One fourth tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp Ghee or Butter [To smear on a plate or tray]

  • 1 tsp Ghee or Butter [To smear on a plate or tray]
Instructions
  1. At first the Mango pieces are to blend to have a smooth paste. This can be done in stone-slab or by blender/grinder. Here it is done by a Hand Grinder. It is to note with care that no water can be added in any way while blending the Mango. Sugar and Cardamom powder are to mix with Mango paste properly. If Cardamom powder is not available at home take seeds from 2/3 cardamoms and grind those into powder.
  2. Smear butter or Ghee on a plate or tray. Smearing of ghee will facilitate to take back dried Mango Bar from the tray.
  3. The Mango paste is to heat in a pan at a medium flame. On liking of sour, pungent and sweet taste,in that case equal quantity of ripe and green mangoes are to take with Green chilli paste as needed. The remaining procedure is as usual. With continuous stirring heat the Mango paste till it becomes thick.
  4. When the Mango paste found to be thick pour it in the ghee smeared tray or plate duly taken out from the flame. Spread it all over the tray at even position and dry in the sun for 2 to 3 days. After drying take it back from the tray slowly starting from the edges first and then the whole one.
  5. Mango Bar prepared in this way can be taken for 2/3 months exposing out. Then if it be dried in the sun at times and kept in the refrigerator will remain fresh for a year of time. Cut away the uneven portion from the outer sides and make the remaining Mango Bar into small sizeable pieces to store and eat. Thus tasty palatable Mango Bar is prepared at home easily.
